Norfolk Island Coral Reef Health Monitoring

Ongoing investigation and monitoring of the inshore coral reef lagoon of Emily and Slaughter Bay supports management of the reef, and relies on the observations of the communities that use the reef.

The goal of this website is to provide a guide to identifying healthy and unhealthy organisms on the reef, so that reef users can communicate where an item of concern is on the reef and what it looks like to management. We rely on the observations of snorkelers, swimmers, and other reef users to help monitor the reef and point out any signs of disease or bleaching.

Please report an observation here.
